Good to see you! My name is Ann Allison!
I am the owner and operator
of the Scoop-N-Steamer Station Cafe and Log Cabins
Located in Sumpter, Oregon.

The Scoop N Steamer Station Cafe and Log Cabins!
My Husband Jim and I came to Baker City in 1971 from Montana and we began building
The Scoop-N-Steamer Station in July of 1994. The Cafe as well as our cabins are
genuine log buildings which we built ourselves with the help of our friend Mark Norenberg
of Granite, Oregon. The Cafe was completed and officially opened in April of 1995.
Construction took nine months as we painstakingly built even the counters and cabinets
by hand! We were very proud of our business and once we were established, we decided
to expand to include log cabins. Construction on four log cabins began in the summer of
1997 and were opened in Nov of that same year. When we first opened, we served only
Deli Sandwhiches along with quality Espresso and Ice Cream. Once we began to gain
popularity with visitors as well as locals, the demand grew for a breakfast menu.

And so,
our breakfast menu was born over three years ago! Then, we were excited to launch our dinner menu! Our
menus continue to expand to include new favorites!
Of course, the deli menu which started it all, is still our
favorite! I am very proud of the unique menu items I prepare by hand for our guests like our Buffalo Burger
and for dessert, we are proud to serve scrumptious
ice cream made right here in Oregon and homemade
waffle cones we make by hand here in the cafe! We are
always planning and developing new and unique menu items as well as new desserts you will be sure to enjoy! And, if you are planning a stay with us to celebrate your anniversary or birthday, just let us know when you make your cabin reservation and we will make a custom decorated cake for you and have it waiting for your arrival!
